PHASE TWO MARKET RESEARCH

By Gareth Thomas

    Right – No Messing About…

Step One: Open a fresh Gmail account unique for this project.

Step Two: Determine your what niche / market is.

    EG: bodybuilding, twitter marketing etc

    Step Three:

A / Go to clickbank and search the marketplace on related terms

EG: bodybuilding, abs, fitness, fat loss

or adwords, ppc, yahoo, msn adcenter etc…

B / Visit each page in the clickbank results list.

C / Join all the optins using the Gmail account.

D / Save all of the sales pages to a folder.

E / Copy all of the URL’s to a text file.

Comment: Some niches will have 30 sites, others 500

You must do the full list – DON’T BE FUCKING LAZY !!!

    Step Four:

    A / Take out a 3 day membership at Spyfu.com

B / Use the text file listing clickbank URL’s to find PPC keywords being used. Search spyfu by URL not keyword.

C / Save all the results all of the searches into a new folder in excel format.

D / Some sites will show other sites not in the clickbank list using the same keywords. Scan all of these new sites in spyfu also save the excel files and save the URL’s and sales pages as in step Three.

By the end of this stage you should have…

1 / A Gmail swipe account stuffed full with autoresponder sequences in your niche – NEVER DELETE any of them.

2 / A swipe folder with sales copy for all of the info products in your niche.

3 / A complete list of clickbank and related URL’s

4 / A folder of excel files from spyfu with hundreds of PPC keywords, plus PPC ad copy and data.

Sick of this boring shit yet ?

We are not even close to the meaty part.

The part most people will never bother to do because its so fucking tedious.

And yet it’s the BEST !!!

    Step Five:

1 / Enter the main market terms and “forum” into google.

     EG: adwords forum

2 / Check the actual forum sites and put the URL’s into a new text file.

3 / Join all of the forums using the Gmail account and confirm – yes there may be dozens. Be sure to confirm ASAP!!!

Step 5: Do the same as above using the keyword “ezine” instead of “forum”.

EG: adwords ezine

You will now have a list of all the main ezine and optin sites in your niche.

    YAWN !!!

Step Six: Perform Whois on all of the ezine, forum and optin URL’s. Enter this information into a new text file.

EG: Phone, Email, Name, Address.

    Step Seven:

1 / Go to amazon.com and choose “books” from the drop down menu. Enter the main keyword EG: bodybuilding into the box.

2 / Enter all the book titles into a new text file. You can do the author names in another file if you so choose.

Step Eight: Do the same as above at Ezinearticles.com for article titles. Don’t bother with article authors though.

Step Nine: Build a list of magazine titles similar to steps seven and eight.

Step Ten: Use your imagination !!!

EG: Build a GURU list of famous names in the niche.

Coming next: The most boring sucky part that pays off real big .

But only if you actually do it.

    Step Eleven:

A / Download adwords digger or similar – there are a couple of others.

B / Scan all of the keywords in your article headlines list. Set adwords digger to use 100 results and scan one keyword at a time if you don’t want the software to hang.

C / Put all of the resulting URL’s into a new text file.

WARNING: It has been rumoured the CIA uses this technique when they are prevented from water boarding.

This is seriously boring shit !!!

D / Do the book titles next.

    E / The Guru list.

    F / The magazine list.

G / The domain names from clickbank.

By now you will have thousands of URL’s for Google placement targeting.

Step Twelve: Now you can multiply that placement list many times over.

A / You can scan all of the spyfu keywords. This can take you to tens of thousands of placement URL’s.

B / You can take a subscription at Wordtracker.com and dig all of the spyfu keywords. Then scan those results with the placement targeting software. This may give you more targeted traffic than you can handle.

    BONUS STEP:

Get contact info for ebay power sellers and online stores selling related products for your niche. These guys have buyer lists.

EG: For bodybuilding it would be supplements and fitness equipment.

    That’s it man.

GET TO WORK !!!
