Got a Mentor Yet ?
I dont yet but the time will come soon. There are huge opportunities to better your marketing, your business, your health and so much more.
If you have a few grand to spare – go find a mentor
The Hottest Trend in 2009
CPA marketing
I predict that every man and his dog will be CPA marketing next year. In 2006 it wasnt so well known with affiliates.
But by next year even all the newbies will be doing it. It fits with the recession and its been growing in momentum with launches like PPCformula and traffic tactics not to mention Frank Kern telling us in a little video how to mail CPA offers out.
I am seeing more and more stuff on CPA.
There was the Vegas seminar a week back too. Even Reese mentioned somewhere that he anticipates cost per action to become more predominant.
IMOD: Internet Marketing Obsessive Disorder
I just experienced Internet Marketing Obsessive Disorder IMOD and yes it was odd.
You see I became obsessed with a Warrior Forum thread. That thread involved a website that had traffic in abundance. This was more than enough to trigger my IMOD syndrome.
Especially since i have been in my room best part of 4 days swotting for a project management exam.
So I became possessed by this thread and the delusional concept that I had discovered a secret traffic generation method.
A method involving expired domains no less.
And so my IMOD led me into a surreal world where I would tap the power of these expired domains and become the wealthy owner of a very large list in a few weeks.
I was delusional of course and have experienced similar IMOD episodes many times in the past. Never does IMOD syndrome involve the same delusional fantasy more than once.
Once the syndrome has manifested itself along a certain delusional tract one is permanently cured of that particular expression of the illness.
I am aware that others suffer from IMOD worse than myself. Personally I have not spent more than a few hundred dollars at a time on an IMOD delusion.
Nor have I developed multiple products while suffering from the disease.
May you all be healed. Good day.
Blogrush is defunct
Yep Reese has pulled the plug on blogrush.
It was a super launch too. Apparently clicks just kept going down so he decided to can the whole thing. Well I guess i need to find some new widgets for track-n-test then. My friendfeed widget has stopped working too.
On another note I am testing expired domain traffic for several weeks. I am aware of its potential but its gotta be purchased at the right price.
Google places adsense on parked domains but there seems to be no way apart from content filtering urls to exclusively post on them. Thats too much effort so I am going with third party traffic brokers. Googles prices are non competitive in this arena anyway.
I am doing a small order initially and ramp it up. This could be a great way to multivariate optimize pages prior to spending on PPC.
I’ll be paying 1c per click.
CPA search engines
I just found a new CPA offer search engine. www.affspy.com this is in addition to www.offervault.com that i posted about a while ago.
Join them both and get to work. Just build up that list and you cant go wrong.
Personally I’m sticking to the fitness market only for my marketing efforts. There are so many sub niches its really not necessary to spread things out. By keeping to one market – some offers can be sent to everybody. Plus you get better branding and expertise.
Google Loves Targeted Marketers
Commercial Intent – Whats that ?
Its a marketing buzzword, just like “social proof” or “content is king”. Yeah so big deal.
Commercial Intent is “the” buzzword.
So many of you are ignorant of it. Marketing without it is like fishing without a hook on your line.
Have all the bait and fish you want, no hook, no dinner.
If people have “commercial intent” they are prehooked. They are already willing to buy.
Thats what it means – its a market psychologically ready and willing to make a purchase.
Where do you find this market offline ? At the mall, in a que at the supermarket, movies or sports venue. These people have made the decision to purchase and are about to do so. Take a look at the trades wanted classifieds – they have commercial intent.
Where do we find these people online ? Ebay for sure and other sites. What keyword phrases do they use ?
Google has released a new tool that will tell you the exact phrases and exacty when and where they are being used. http://www.google.com/insights/search/
Many of the very best keywords with %80 – %90 commercial intent have little to no competion. This is how I know… so many are ignorant of it.
So I’m about to exploit this and hope to profit immensely. Commercial Intent is the missing link, the holy grail that I have been searching for. Commercial intent to a marketer is “the” single most important thing.
So use it when researching markets.
Seek it when researching keywords.
Exploit it when writing copy and building sales funnels, websites and partnerships.
Make it the cornerstone of your marketing efforts. Make Commercial Intent your diety and mantra. Indeed become the center of your customers commercial intent. Commercial Intent is King Killer.
So where do you find commercial intent? well google labs has kindly given us a new tool.
Its the google insights for search tool – this is the bomb and its like google trends on steroids. Its so good that its almost like pointing a giant arrow at your prospects sitting at the computer. There are a couple of great info products at present that can help you.
I recommend “amazon affiliate gold”
“Google insights WSO videos” and “four minute money”.
I’m sure there are lots more tricks out there for finding commercial intent.
Thirty Day Challenge goes Hi Tech WEB 2.0
Yes as you can see here on my blog I have a FriendFeed WebStream set up. I have followed all the pre-season advice and eagerly anticipate what lessons may be coming up.
I expect there to be alot of blogging and RSS syndication. Actually I already had most of the accounts set up but the 30DC strategy kind of turns it all into a big spiders web.
Im at the World Internet Summit in Auckland
I love this event. Heck right here are Michel Fortin, Dr Mike Woo Ming , Ewen Chia – How damn cool is that. What more they all seem like nice people. The hosts Tom Hua and Brett McFall are great guys too. Allthough Brett could do with a hairpeice but what the hell so could I.
Seriously When you get the chance go to one of these. Best thing about auckland is the small crowd so they are all accessable for a chat.
Trials and Tribulations
Well I’ve had some ups and downs in the last couple of weeks but most are sorted now. I’m working on my first commercial electronics project – making up $25,000 worth of biofeedback equipment. There have been basically many communication problems and a few products with glitches. I nearly went bananas but yes its all largely OK now.
The actual product builld will only take week or two and honestly I dont have much of a marketing plan yet – better get to work on it. Id really like to sell all 10 units in one go and do another build, then spread to other products.
The markups in electronics are quite outstanding and there is far less competition than with info-products.
