Selling Sites and Domains
Things are hotting up for ecommerce with web 2.0 microsoft vista, IDN’s and all that jazz.
The buzz thats starting to go round is build your sites and flick em off when you need some extra revenue. Park your unused domains and get revenue there too.
I want to build a long term business but flicking the odd site off for a capital injection sounds like the icing on the cake to me.
The EBAY Affiliate program
Ok so I am planning my attack. Have quite a large electronics site largely built with alot of public domain content, to this I will add a forum. WP Blog and an Ebay affliliate store.
Two scripts available for this are ASE (affiliate success ebay) and BANS (build a niche store) Also the API is accessable so i could look into doing my own.
There are several cheap or free ebay search scripts out there too. This particular site will target test equipment not consumer electronics.
I also have the Microsoft vista community to set up with joomla after that.
And i have about 35-40 of those adsense template/premade sites that are relevant to electronics.
After all of that is setup i have to look at getting a VPS acct and buying 100-200 domains as a minimum.
DomainDashboard / MassAccountmanager or something similar will be required at this stage.
I will be using my big huge electronics ontology to plan all the various websites and how they are linked and set up. Obviously to do this i will have to automate but at the same time i want to keep things as white hat as possible.
With all the Web 2.0 stuff going on it seems like a great time to be doing this and when the site promotion starts things will get interesting. I would like my sites to be interactive with communities etc – not just articles and stores.
So the EBAY Affiliate program is a good place to start, from there I will try datafeeds and maybe get into dropshipping down the track. Right now ebay and datafeeds will keep me busy.
 HAPPY NEW YEARS !!!
Electronics Online Store
I will have to start off with datafeed driven affiliate stores.
Will set up a central megasite and a whole bunch of satellite sites and blogs.
I have used freemind mindmap software to put together an ontology of the electronics market. Ebay, Yahoo, Amazon, and a number of online electronics stores were my source of info.
Now I just have a mountain of work to do.
Branding and Niche Marketing
Well Mr John Reese is raking up another storm with his vids on Multiple streams of income and his disagreement with that business model.
I am a qulaified IT and electronics guy so thats gunna be my area of expertise.
Why ? Because John Reese said so ? No Way – its common sense.
By keeping in one market everything I do will be associated with my brand.
Thats much more efficient. Every article i get written, every new site i try out, every affiliate promotion will be connected with my brand.
Ok so I have alot of work to do. But I will still be using all the same techniques.
First thing is to study some similar business models and design my brand.
Vlogging – Yeehaa !
Wow it looks like vlogging could be the silver bullet I was looking for. Getting traffic and indexing has been so hard.
I cant wait to start. Got some books and a video CBT so i know how to do it now.
I will be posting vlogs on track-n-test and will be promoting vlogging products – this is set to be “the way” to promote for the next 6-12 months at least. Very exciting stuff.
I am wondering where it will lead to. I am thinking virtual human avatars and automatic video production with lipsync and TTS.
Then there is web 3.0 and semantic search so you could have like a software android doing your sales pitch for you. This is gunna be fun.
